Vibration
New rear tire on and now it vibrates the mid pegs when slowing down, only from 28 to 22 mph. New Metzler on back with fairly new Dunlop on front. What could be causing this? Rally trip in 2 days.....

I'd double check the belt tension, could be a "harmonic" vibe from the belt when the speed go down and no load on the belt. Do you have the vibrations on acceleration? The tire was the last work performed.

I'll check that. The tire was the last work and I've never felt it before. I loosened and retourqed the axle, at 55lbs thinking it might be a bearing. It wasn't. Thanks and I'll post on what I find.

Maybe it's your rear brake. .? Possible the rotor got warped when you had the tire fitted. Get the bike in the air and spin the rear wheel slowly and see how it does. Can also check for rotor runout but that's tricky to measure.

Get up to speed and do your coast down with the clutch in with the bike idling to rule out everything but the drivetrain that was touched

Dynas normally vibrate more on decel. Maybe it was always there, and you just didn't notice it before?
A collapsed (or improperly clearanced) front motor mount makes it much worse.

Yeah, that's it. I've narrowed it down in one hour to a 6mph window and it's been there all along:-/
Indy thinks possibly a bearing. Said the axle was seized in there pretty good,,, so most likely one got hurt.
