Default Wheel bearing question

I just had one of J&P's $11.99 wheel bearings go out after only 200 miles (I installed it per the service manual and have done it before so not operator error, lol). Needless to say, you get what you pay for. The stealership wants $31.99 each for new bearings, but I've heard there's aren't good quality either. Who makes a good bearing? I don't want to do this job again, and even more so, I don't want to end up broken down along the road.

Thanks,

Matt

Default Wheel bearings

Timken purchased fafnir bearings and right now the best is fafnir.
I use fafnir 205PP for about $15.00 a piece.
The torque is critical.

find a bearing store local to you. The Braring store close to me is called Applied Indurstary. Motion Industray is also a store to go with. I ask for domestist which is either Timken or SKF. They usually right at 20 bucks a pop.

Yes, Applied or Motion Industries. Do a websearch for them.

When would you want to change the wheel bearings anyway? I've thought about it over the years, but never really looked into it.

I ran allballs before switching to timken, the allballs did not hold up, replaced after 2 years.
Three sets of bearings in 4 years.

Really? I never thought the interval was so short. I mean, I thought the answer would be like every 50,000 miles or something. lol Just seemed like one of those "forever parts".
