Definitely inspired by two of the bikes on here.--So I stole some of their idea's Bags come in real handy and look good in my opinion. Never satisfied with the look of bags on a dyna until I started going retro. Front fender replacement coming soon. Anybody know where I can get brass or copper end caps for rinehart 3.5" slip-ons?

Here's my kinda retro themed street bob. Gettin ready to hack it up and make it more of a street tracker. All my retro bits will be up for grabs.

fskitch,

Very nice.

Your bike answers several questions I've had. I do like the look without strut covers, and black engine and gearbox.

IMO It would look, and ride, even better with a 16 up front.

Please post more photos.

Not done with 'er, but going for a late '70's/early '80's kinda vibe.

I'm with Carl'69 as far as the 70's styling. Hope it's retro enough for ya. By the way Carl'69 your bike is way cool!

Thanks, man. Much appreciated.

Next up is a set of FLST forks & 16" front wheel. Not tryin' to bagger 'er out, but goin' for sort of a hotrod, stripped-down FLH kinda vibe.

So is retro a fancy word for " classic" ? If so I like! Love the old classic looks.

Just got mine but my theme will be classic harley. Guess I got a good start with the old style wide glide. First thing will be throw the hypercharger away and maybe some 50s 60s 70s style saddlebags.

Your bike and afmm3 are my favorite repops on here.
I recently traded my mags for stock spokes and put shinko WWW's on them and ordered a fender to fit my mid glide front end and 100/90/19 tire so I'll be running the stock wheels a while. There's a web site called The Jockey Journal (Jockeyjournal.com) has pics of old FLH's with tall front wheels if you do a search. They look pretty nice IMO. I agree the 16's feel more stable--my wife has 16" wheels on her VL 800 bobber and the ride is very stable and balanced. Check it out.
