Default Information that would have helped before I bought HogTunes

HogTunes for the Memphis Shades batwing for FXDF doesn't fit if you have taller than stock handlebar risers that don't pull back. (edit - YES IT DOES - read on to see my stupid mistakes and maybe avoid them yourself).

I have 2" spacerjim riser spacers installed that I'd prefer not to remove. Anyone else run into this and come up with another way to mount the speakers? It looks like there should be space if it could be mounted lower in the fairing.

I was worried about the same problem if I were to purchase Hogtunes for my MS Batwing Fairing. I have the 2013 Wide Glide and it has risers as well. There just doesn't seem like there would be room to fit the big speaker box.

Yeah, it looks like there should be room for it lower in the fairing but there's no place to mount it down there. I was hoping maybe someone had come across a bracket or a relatively easy fix.

Short of that I will probably remove my riser spacers tonight to see how much difference they make and then look into some bars with pull back risers later.

How do you like the fairing? How is it mounted?

I was curious how the FXDF Batwing would work with taller bars. Not conerned with Hogtunes, just possible conflicts with say 12" T-Bars.

So it turns out that I'm an idiot...

The HogTunes does fit. I didn't realize that the mounting hardware is adjustable. All i needed to do was slide the mounts out at the top and now it fits even with the riser spacers in. Very happy with the whole set up.

Now if i can just figure out how to identify a switched power source and tie into it, i'll be all set.

The fairing will work with bars of any height from what i've seen. The mounting hardware adjusts so you can angle the fairing outward at the top (and/or bottom) to gain extra clearance.

I am curious as to the over all sound of the HogTunes myself. Thank you!
