Question need advice for passenger pillion on a fat bob for 2 piece mustang

ok, so I finally pulled the trigger and got a Mustang Vintage solo seat (regular not the wide). Now I'm trying to decide between the vintage pillion or the "thin" pillion.

It looks like one rides up over the seat and sits higher....but may provide a little more back support for me? or is that overlap annoying as hell?

the thin one looks like it may contour better -- but with less padding is it like sitting on a brick for the passenger?

final options would be getting one of those suction cup type pillions to just pop on and off.

anyway, if you have used one or all of the above, feedback is appreciated. This is my first solo seat, others were both two up....so I like ability to put on and off, but not sure which to get.

thanks!!!

I have the regular Mustang Vintage seat with the Vintage passenger seat that goes with it. If you go any smaller with the passenger seat then don't expect any passengers, it is already pretty minimal. The part that rides up on the back of the solo seat does not really help much as far as back support, might help a little with a big bump! I say skip anything thinner, the Vintage passenger seat is "OK" for shorter rides and comes off in a flash for the solo look.

Does the Vintage solo change your seating position?

I got that Mustang Vintage so fast I can not remember any differences as far as reach/seat height etc.

I usually buy 34" inseam jeans and have no problems. You could call Mustang and they would probably know if there is a difference compared to stock.

HD Pilot:
thanks for the info! that's what I was worried about. I saw the "thin" pillion and was worried that it may not be enough. and not many passengers want to feel like they are sitting on a brick...haha.

to Atrox88:
my bike never came off the lot with a stock seat....I had them put a 2 up sundowner on it before I rolled out. I just put the mustang on but haven't ridden....seems like it's a bit lower, but that's compared to the sundowner. And one of the reasons I'm switching to this is because that seat is just too big.

I have the vintage wide, 2up...and the "overlap" is rarely felt...and when it is, like when I lean back...feels good!

I also have a wide and dont notice the overlap even when running without the backrest. If I was you I would get the vintage pillion for comfort, they easily remove with one screw
