Default hd quarter fairing - headlight seal?

to all those folks rocking an HD fairing with bungking brackets - did you manage to get the headlamp to sit against the gasket all around? If so, how did you do it? I got mine on today but can only get either the top or the bottom sealed...

Did you use a different headlight block or spacer?

I don't have the bung king brackets but have you tried loosening the headlight bolt and rolling the headlight forward? When I take my fairing off I always leave the fairing brackets and headlight loose, push them together and then tighten everything up

Did you get the round spacer, I think it comes with the Bungking kit? So you rotate the OEM block spacer 180 degrees, it goes on top of the round spacer--then adjust and torque down the headlight--(my headlight clears the top Triple tree by about 3/8"--attach HD mount to fairing-(I think that was just the two pieces with the screws--then attach the Bungking to those brackets but don't tighten them down--then attach the quick releases but don't tighten them down--mount the QD's to the forks whilst lining the fairing up squarely on the headlight.

Then tighten all the bolts up, piece of cake.

Unless my memory has gone.

Unless I'm missing something, tilting forward or back just changes whether it's the top or bottom edge in contact with the gasket...

I don't think it's a terrible thing, but for all the adjustability of the fairing there's only one position that can work.

Has anyone tried a different mounting block? I'm thinking one that moves the headlight out more might be better

so i had a play around and got it to seat properly.
loosening all the bolts, re-positioning and snugging them up again helped!

took it for it's maiden voyage and holy-moly was it noisy... wasn't expecting that!
off to the thug thread to ask for help on the wind...
