Default 16" LA Chopper Tree Huggers on 2012 Fatbob FXDF

Thought i'd post up a few pics for anybody looking for some awesome Apes. I searched for days trying to find the right bars to compliment the Fatbob's front end. I personally was having a hard time finding any pictures of Fatbobs with apes that actually looked cool to me. Finally decided on the 16" LA Chopper Tree Huggers after seeing them in person on an employees bike at the local HD dealer. His were black and layed back a little too far for my taste, but I could see the potential and loved the beefy 1.5" bars. Did a lot of research on them and found that everyone seemed to recommend them, and after putting about 500 miles with them, I agree 100%.

Here's some before and after pics. Especially like the clean look with no risers involved. The bars are still fully adjustable via an internal lug that you tighten from beneath the upper triple clamp. The bushings allow you to tighten the bars down snug, yet still leave enough "flex" in the bars for a relative vibration free feeling, which you'll appreciate on the longer rides.

Nice. Not usually an ape fan. Your sig picture shows a FXDF with a fairing, was that yours before the apes? If so did you sell the fairing or wish to. PM me if you want to sell it if no longer using it

These bars are exactly what I have been looking for. Iswitch my front end over from a Mid-Glide tree to a Fat Bob tree just so it would be easier to find bars that flow better with the front end. I love the fact that they are still adjustable for some pul back if wanted.

Yea, I bought the Memphis Shades Bat Wing and everything (over $700), installed it and took a few pics and ended up pulling back off until I could relocate the front turn signals. I rode my bike down to the local HD dealer to get the wire extension needed and saw one of the employees bikes that happened to be the same bike as mine and had the black LA Chopper Apes on it, went home and ordered the apes and never installed the Bat Wing. It's listed for sale in the For Sale section now.

Really like the look of those apes on the Fat Bob. Looks great with the bobtail style fender.

I just purchased a set of the 19 inch tree huggers for my fat Bob. My question is what lengths did you go with for the throttles and clutch? I'm having someone just extend the upper brake line for 50$ when i get the bars on but i was hoping to pre order tree other cables and it's hard to measure the lengths without having them on. I figured id go +2 on whatever your lengths were

Damn those look good. I really didn't think much about apes on a Fat Bob until I saw EricInNCa's bike. Then I knew I needed them.
