I wanted to move my speedo up to be closer to my field of vision when I'm riding, but because I have an FXD, it meant having to get a new top clamp for my risers. Also, I have Bung King T-Bars for integrated risers (basically window bars) so I couldn't just use a normal relocation bracket. So what I did was modify (cut, paint, etc) a stock riser clamp/speedo bracket, mount it on a couple cable clamps to the bars, and replace the top clamp with a stock one that a friend gave me off his FXDB. I'm pretty happy with it and it puts it in a great spot to see without taking my eyes off the road.

First, I cut the bottom half of the riser clamp portion of with a grinder/cut off wheel: FXD speedo relocation-image-1842491530.jpg FXD speedo relocation-image-2105781184.jpg

Then I trimmed the bottom trim piece: FXD speedo relocation-image-3187815804.jpg FXD speedo relocation-image-1952251999.jpg FXD speedo relocation-image-1452034284.jpg

Then I bolted it to the clamps on the bars: FXD speedo relocation-image-494328682.jpg FXD speedo relocation-image-2569109777.jpg

And this is how it turned out: FXD speedo relocation-image-2955225371.jpg FXD speedo relocation-image-3364319011.jpg

Overall, I'm really happy and it was a pretty quick mod. Plus, it cost next to nothing!
