Default Internal wiring. I got lucky

Hopefully someone will get some use out of this and save themselves a lot of time and headache. For those of you that think or hear that you have to cut/splice wires or remove wires from the connectors to get them through the handlebars you may be mistaken. I've recently changed bars and I was able to pull both switch housing wires and one blinker wire through my bars with the connectors on. I did have to cut one blinker wire but hey, I didn't have to mess with removing each wire from the connector or having to cut every wire then solder them back together. Now I only have to solder 3 wires instead of 15 or whatever it is. I highly recommend trying this before you cut or remove anything. By the way, bike was a 2012 FXDC.

I am not sure why you would cut any wires at all? All of the connectors can be disassembled and the pins pulled out.

On the 2012+ the connectors are smaller. They will never fit through on any older bike

I know you don't have to cut them. I chose too. I tried removing the pins from the connector and said fuggit. Just as easy so solder and heat shrink 3 wires.

I believe 12+ dynas all have wires long enough for 18" bars... I've manage to install my "14 apes on mine with no problem at all, got the wire through bars in 2 min lol install was pretty easy
