Default Quick Turn / 1/4 turn throttle tube / sleeve

Any of you Dyna guys switched to these quick turn or quarter turn style throttle tubes? I'm curious if you liked the result.

Where did you find one available? I have used these on previous bikes and really like the result. It's a loooong twist from close to 100% on a Harley.

G2 Ergo makes one, I think Biltwell's Whiskey Throttle is also a quick-turn style.

I don't think you do anything other than replace the stock throttle tube with the new one... and add whatever grip you want.

I think this only works if you are getting new rubber grips that can be fitted over the tube. I just purchased new grips at HD yesterday and the internal tube does not seem like it can be pulled out or retrofitted.

HD Grips include the tube, they are just glued on... you can cut the rubber ones off and use the stock tube with aftermarket grips. On the other side of the coin... if you use this quarter turn throttle turn you need to use aftermarket grips that will slide over and glue onto a throttle tube.

Well, yes, if you buy rubber grips. I bought the metal and rubber combination grips. They are not able to be cut apart or twisted or pulled (that I saw) to allow a new throttle tube.

You are correct... If you want to use this tube, you can't use HD grips.

Just a tip, but if you're going to run a slip on style rubber grip, get them in 7/8"s and you won't have to glue it. I run Oury's on mine (super sticky) with a Whiskey throttle.
