Default Stock muffler cat removal

Been trying to find the easiest way to get the cat out of my stock mufflers, everything I find is for the the cats in the head pipe. It's a 2014 street bob
Thank in advance

Save your self the headache and buy slip ons .
Cycle shacks are reasonably priced and sound pretty good in my opinion.

Gotta agree with the other answers here. I was thinking about doing that to my Super Glide but went ahead and got the Vance and Hines 3 inch slip ons. Couldn't be just too much happier with the way my bike sounds now. No sense tearing up the stock mufflers just to end up with bad sounding exhaust you are just going to have to replace with something that sounds good anyway.

I did mine. it was an exhaust from a fat bob 2011 I put on my 07 FXD. cut out the cat and welded it back up, heat shields cover it. Doesn't change the sound but pipes do not get as hot and air flows more freely

Cats on a 14 street bob are in the mufflers and the cat is larger than
the opening on the pipe.I cut about three inches off the end of the
muffler to get the cat out.

Out of curiosity, why would you take them out does it enhance performance or sound?

With everything else stock not a gain on performance, but supposedly runs a lot cooler, and heard different things on the sound, some say it does nothing, some say it get a little louder, and some say it makes it sound bad. I would be fine with it staying the same but I hope not to make it sound bad though.
