Default Touring rear turn signal bar on a SG.

I have a friend with an 03super glide and wants to install a rear turn signal bar from a touring bike on it. Has anyone tried and what issues did you have. Thanks

Had a good friend do this on his '06... a little grinding to make it fit, but looks good. I'll ask him if he still has his thread on it...

Yup did it to mine, I didn't have to grind anything, I installed a street glide turn signal bar on mine, the tricky part is drilling the holes in the fender to mount it, because of the angle that the screws go in, also had to drill smaller holes for the wriring.then I used a large HD medallion to cover the old plate holder holes

Yup.. my buddy ground those spots down because he didn't want to make the big holes.. (as I remember... ) It's a good look and I've thought about doing the same.

This is the thread I used when I put one on my '07 FXD. Turned out great and was pretty easy, just go slow on the grinding and check the fit as you go. I definately recommend drilling holes in the fender for the wires to run too and put some grommets in there to stop the wires from rubbing. Don't forget to put some paint/protector on the exposed metal in the fender (from mounting holes) and on the back of the light bar. Hope this helps.
