Default Fat Bob w/ Touring Seat - Passenger tilt

Hi,

I slapped a HD touring seat on my 2013 Fat Bob for my wife. The stock seat was not acceptable.

The issue with that seat is that it tilts forward and therefore she slides forward. I don't mind having her ***** mashed into my back, but she gets a little sick of having to constantly push herself back.

I sat on a friend's Softail Crossbones with a Sundowner seat, and the pillion part of the seat tips backwards. His wife loves it as it keeps her against the backrest and she says it's very comfortable. I liked the back support.

Looking at images of Fat Bobs with Sundowner seats, it looks like the pillion part still tilts forward. Before I go off to the dealer and try a demo Sundowner, I'm wondering if the images I've seen are accurately depicting the tilt of the pillion. Can any of you with Fat Bobs chime in on what seat might work better so the pillion tilts back?

I guess as a last resort I'll send the seat off to one of the seat modifiers and have them fix it.

I have a C&C Sport Tour seat that I put on my Fatbob when we ride longer distances. The passenger area sits pretty flat and I've never had any complaints from by babe. Plus it doesn't look like a friggin' couch like some others.

Here are a couple older photos of my bike with the seat.

Nice looking seat. That might be an option.

Thanks for the reply and for taking the time to post pictures.

You can also check out stock switchback seat. That's what I have on my street bob. Good compromise of looks and comfort. I think they run around 199.
