Didn't really know where to put this so sorry in advance. As the title says is it ok to wash my 97 wide glide with the base gasket leaking? I don't know if water can seep down in there and get into the oil. I've been riding like this for a few months now doesn't seem to be getting worse. And I've just been spray and wiping it but want to give it a proper bath. Thanks!

 

Highly doubtful that you would get any water in there. The motor oil has pressure from inside to be able to push through that tiny vein.
