Most guys that run the jierh rim use a 120/70 21. Look up 21 stock hub and you'll see lots on tires!

I'm running a 90/90-21 Night Dragon on a stock Wide Glide style front rim, Clears the fender with no modifications. Plenty of guys on here are running 120's on wider rims with the stock fender.

I'm running a 120/70R21 on a 21x3.25 rim. Others are running the same tire on a 21x3.5. I also have a friend running the 120 on a skinny wide glide rim and he loves it.

Here's the link for the stock hub and spoke on a 21.

First picture is with my new Avon cobra, which is awesome.

The other pics are with a Dunlop Elite 3, which I would not recommend with spoked wheels. The Avon also gave me a 1/8" more clearance on each side of the fender.

Why do you say that? I have an E3 on my 21x3.25 (80 spoke) front rim and it has performed fine for me. I know debating about tires will yield you the same discussion as asking someone about what oil they use, but I'm just curious as to what your experience was.

Edit: To stay on topic, I run a 21x3.25 front wheel, wide glide trees, 49mm FXDB fork tubes, and a 120/70 Dunlop E3 with my stock front fender. Needed spacers to mount it, but it clears the tire.

No modification 21x3 rim, 120/70/21 Mich CMII tire. Lace your stock hub or get a complete 21" like mine.

Everything I read and speaking to avon (the only company that replied to my email) running radial on a tubed spoke tire up front can cAuse cupping and the tire going out of round. Don't get me wrong the tire performed well for about 12k miles but I was getting a bad vibe up front and saw the front tire starting to cup. That's when I started researching why it would do that. I had dyna beads in the tire and check my air pressure religiously. Everything pointed to a radial front tire being bad because of the extra heat radials create get trapped in the tube and overall runs hotter which creates the abnormalities. Apparently a bias front with a radial rear is ok and what Avon recommends for their cobras on spoked wheels. I'll find out for sure next riding season when I get a new rear this winter. If the tire wasn't out if round and not cupped I probably could have got another 3-5k miles out of the E3. It started at about 9k miles in the E3

So I guess it's not so much the E3 just radial front tires on spoked wheels in general. My experience was just with the E3
