I'm looking to put a fatter tire on the front of of my Bob. What's the fattest I can go with the stock 19" rim?

100/90/19 is all there is. There is a 120-/70/19 but that is designed for a 3" or wider rim, not a 2.15.

 

Hmm, I'm sure I've seen fatter than that on here.

Looks like I'll have to go back to my plan of a 17" front rim on the stock hub and a Fat Boy tire, 140/75 x 17 I think.

Has anyone else done this?

 

I have seen a 120/70/19 on a 2.15" rim. The guy had to use a belt sander on the edge of the tire to allow it to clear the front fender as well. Maybe someone makes a 110-90-19 but I don't know of one.

If you want to run a 120 tire the proper way to do it is to get a 19x3 or 19x3.45 rim and a 120/70/19 tire but the stock fender might have an issue with the wider tire although some say with the 49mm front end on teh bob it will just clear a 120 tire. Your results may vary.

 

i ran a 120/19 v rod tire (metzler) on my bike before i went to the 21, was a bitch to get on there but worked... was under the rim size that the tire called for but it worked

 

I put a metzeler 110/90/19 on my stock street bob wheel with no problems. havent run it hard in the twisties yet but so far so good. Perelli makes the same size in the night dragaon as well.
