Upgrading Brakes
#12
I also have 02 FXDWG...this is what I did. Lyndel pads right off the bat. Better than stock. Still not great braking performance. So tried a couple different aftermarket calipers (biker choice, etc), and there were always some issue with clearance. Ended up with Jaybrake 6pot and the stock size rotor. No modifications necessary, used my stock length brakeline. Everything lined up perfect. And because of the design (bleeder valve at the top of the caliper), brake bleeding took 5min. Huge increase in braking power...noticed it immediately just backing the bike out of the driveway.

JayBrake will be at Sturgis with their display and bikes.
Just doing stainless steel braided lines and EBC sintered pads will give good improvement over stock. But the JayBrake 6 piston is a beast, that is for sure.
I am getting their quad series for my rear, and the 6 piston for my front very soon myself.
