Lightbulb My 2007 Dyna Low Rider Build

Here is how it looked when I picked it up:

First thing i did was get new bars and cables (14" Wild 1 Chubby Outlawz)... love em! I had them on the Softail and loved em so I figured why screw up a good thing.

Not close to being done though. I just did this quickly to make it a joy to ride... I couldn't stand those stock bars.

Here are some pics:

The Breakdown......

The Finished Product:

Also, did the HogRida Lay Down Plate (looks great!) and a Low Profile LED Brake Light with Turn Signals that are integrated. I still need to get that working right because the left turn signal stays on but the right one works. I think I may need a Load Equalizer or something. I am not running any front signals yet, they are just unplugged under the neck.

I did black cables this time instead of Chromite II since I will be blacking some stuff out.

Also, did the idiot light relocation to the console...love that also!

Next up I think I will be buying a Power Vision. Right now the bike has a Fuelpak and it is CRAMMED under the seat. Its so tight under there I think something is going to break. So going with the Power Vision allows me to get a good tune and then retune it as I do the mods. Also leaves more room under the seat for a load equalizer, which I think I need (see tailight above).

Then I will be blacking out a few things like the triply trees, lowers, fender struts, rocker boxes, battery cover and so forth but will still leave a bit of chrome too. It will be a nice mix of black and chrome. Then I will be getting it painted RED and put some street bob badges on it. Last but not least, I will probably put a 107" in it like I have in my Softail. Love the power!

EDIT: I did a crappy photoshop job to show my final vision. I think it will look better in person. HA!

Here is my final vision for it with a crappy photoshop job. hahahaha

Looks good! that's half the fun...making it your own.
It's funnny because I took off my stock streetbob apes and put on wild1 chubby 'beach bars' which sit low. Kind of the opposite of you.

But hey, we all can't have the exact same bike!

HA! Isn't that the truth. It would be quite a boring world if we all liked exactly the same things.

I also have a 2007 FXDL and want to do this relocation. I read that it's not real hard but just real tight.

Awesome ride, man! I have a 2007 Low Rider too. Funny, mine is Fire Red Pearl/Black Pearl like the Softail in your sig.

Yea, its not difficult just tight...like you said. I like it so much better than it being on the risers.

HA! I love that color combo! But I am going to paint the dyna a deep red...all one color. Can't wait to get it done!

On a side note, I just ordered a Power Vision to replace the Fuelpak that is crammed under the seat. Looking forward to playing with the PV!

How do you like the Dyna so far compared to your Softail?

wow, that's a lot of work you have planned, more than I'd be willing to do. I like to buy bikes already the way I want them and them do little stuff,

good thing you got a damn good deal on that bike.
