I have a 2005 dyna superglide. I replaced the front turn signal bulbs with a 2357LL. I'm trying to find a brighter bulb for the rear to replace the 1156LL but I can't find a replacement. I've searched hear and elsewhere with no luck. Does anyone know? Thanks

 

just buy an LED bulb. most 1156 will fit fine

 

This may sound stupid but will the led bulb also be 1156?.

 

The LED will be a replacement for an 1156 you'll see when you go shopping... online or at the auto parts store.

i might be wrong but isnt:
1156 is the rear bulb.
1157 is the front bulb ( since it is also a running light)


also when you switch to an LED you'll get fast blink unless you put a load resistor for pre-canbus models.

also the LL bulbs you bought are long life. and not as bright as other bulbs.

 

I picked up the LED versions of the 1156 at my local parts house. I got them with red bulbs because I have smoked lenses on my Street Bob. They flashed fast for a minute then went to normal. The manager at said store put them on his Glide with the same results. I believe him, since he used to be my boss and I have seen his bike. You can pick up load eq's there if you need, but you may (probably) won't need to.
That being said the higher the # the brighter the bulb. I'm guessing your rear lights are also running lights, but I could be wrong.
