Does anyone know if I could swap out the FLD headlight/nacelle for a Deluxe, Fat Boy style?
The forks look similar, just not sure if they're the same size.

 

coulda sworn they were both 7" dont see why you couldnt mount it up.

 

Yes, I believe the lamp is the same size, I'm wondering about the whole headlight assembly.

 

I believe the Softail forks are different width and diameter? I've considered putting the FLD front end on my Fat Bob (straight bolt up) so I'm curious what it is about the other assembly style/function you prefer?

 

I like the classic look of the Fatboy.

 

Just thinking out loud here...

You would need to pull the stock headlight/nacelle
purchase headlight bucket and mounting block/bracket
drill hole in upper or lower fork clamp, Fatboy is on the lower
Mount headlight on fork calmp

The headlight reflector, lens, and trim ring from the FLD might fit the fatboy bucket. If you want to cover the fork clamps and tubes you would need to get some fatboy fork tins and figure out how to mount them to the FLD fork clamps, assuming the fork tubes are the same distance apart.
