My 13 RKC has anti lock and it works like a car, can feel it lever and pedal, does not lock up at all, I would never buy another bike without the option

More stuff on the bike = more stuff to go wrong, more stuff to repair, more money to spend etc. I like to keep it simple as possible. I don't even like the keyless crap cause I hate the giant fob, but the bike already had it.

More than once in the last 2 years I'm glad I had the ABS. I for one (and others) am glad I have it. Have braked really hard on a couple of occasions and would have locked up on my softail but didn't on my Road King.

2nd post. Yes, I had a problem with the brakes "grabbing" and cleaned the brakes using Brakekleen and it fixed the problem forthwith.

If I remember correctly the manual states that ABS may not prevent rear wheel lock up especially on gravel, oil or other slippery/loose surface. I think it's meant to help mainly with front wheel lock up.

I do believe abs causes many more accidents than it prevents. think of how many accidents are rear end collisions vs. losing control because of braking. personally I think there is an agenda to push ABS, the ambulance chasing lawyers just love it, the more accidents the more money they make.
l cant believe l just read this....

Lowrider does not have ABS but my K1200GT does. Don't have problem one way or the other on the ABS. But than have not had to make a hard stop with either yet.

Default ABS Works!!

Picture this: I had my new 2014 Wide Glide about 1 month. I commute on crowded Phoenix freeway traffic, 35 miles round trip.

Moving along with traffic ~75 MPH at 6:30 AM in middle lane of 5. Beautiful morning, all is well.

All of a sudden cars directly in front of me in all lanes are going every which way for no apparent reason. All I could do is aim for the best opening and hit the brakes hard, not fully understanding why. And there it was, a 12 foot extension ladder sliding to a stop, crossways in my lane.

The front & rear abs definately kicked in almost the whole way. Stopped straight & true with me just aiming where I had to be and the brakes stopping. I stopped about 2 feet short and 3 feet to the right of the ladder, about a foot behind a car stopped in front of me.

And there about 100 feet in front, on a 5 lane freeway was the jerk in the pickup truck, backing up on the freeway to get his ladder.

I saluted him along with about 10 others as I went by. When I got to work, it took 3 or 4 minutes to break the suction with my seat!

I love my ABS Brakes!!!
