Default I found a rogue connector..any ideas?

I have a capped off connector that is hanging down by the starter.
It has always been there. Probably should be under the seat as it has a tab that would snap into some hole to hold it.
Anybody have any idea what this plug might be for?

I have one hanging down above rear cylinder head. Thin black wire with tiny connector. Can't figure out what it is and I suspect the PO may have had some lights somewhere that are gone. I decided to ride on and not worry about it.

Ah, yes, I found that while I was poking around looking for a place to mount my air horn compressor. It really does just hang there by the starter. Nearest I could guess is a connection for trailer lights? Dunno.
