D&d Fat Cat installed

My buddy has the same pipe on his street glide. When I'm behind him and he gets down on the throttle it sounds very similar to a heads/cam/intake c5 vette on a shot with long tube headers and full corsa exhaust. It's ear drum shattering if your on his right side or behind him when he cracks the throttle. First time he let it rip i had to back off the throttle to get away from him. It caught me completly off guard. Being a street glide, his is a little longer so sound probably differs a bit but it's very mild at idle. When normal riding around through the gears it's very throaty but somehow still has a nice deep rumble without having that Flowmaster drone. I think they did great on capturing a great sound, I haven't heard anything like it.
As far as weight, the stock pipes are pretty heavy as well as the stock bracket. The new headers and bracket are lightweight but that muffler is pretty heavy. Overall I'd say the fat cat is lighter if I had to guess.

People keep saying they had issues with D&D. I bought my pipe through Star Cycles on eBay. Ordered it on Tuesday the 15th, drop shipped out of Ft Worth, TX from D&D, had the pipe in my hands on Thursday the 24th. Everything is perfect with my pipe. I got the D&D bobcat for $740. I'm really happy with it. I got the standard "3-4 weeks to custom build blah blah" email, but it only took a week. Maybe I got lucky? That fatcat looks badass on your bike!
