Default Tommy Gun Exhaust ??

Hi All,

I have just taken possession of a new 2014 Dyna Wide Glide.

The plan was to put some nice deep sounding Slip-On's on to the bike as they are pretty quiet with standard mufflers.

I happen to notice tonight that the Standard Muffler has a Baffle System that is held in place by 3 Pop Rivets.

Has anyone removed these rivers to see what lies beyond. If I can build up my own baffle, then this would be a bonus as well as keeping the original looks.

Check the "how to...under $50" sticky at the top of the Dyna page. There is a how to write up on punching out the baffles on stock mufflers. Personally I would just buy slip ons and keep the factory mufflers for trade in time. I have Python Big Mamba slip on's they put out a nice deep rumble and are pretty loud.

I put V&H slip-ons on my Tommy Guns and new air cleaner at Stage 1 and finally replaced them with Fat Cat 2 into 1s when I upgraded to Stage 4. The V&Hs sounded good, are fairly inexpensive, and I kept the TGs and V&H for trade in time as well.

I'd just go with slipons. You'll spend the time modding the stock mufflers, only to realize it sounds like sh$t. I did this....and bought slipons a week later...lol
