Need help preventing scratches on rear fender
I have a 2014 Fat Bob in black denim. I just ordered a solo seat from Ed @Sick Saddles. My wife will very occasionally ride 2 up with me. I plan on just reinstalling the factory seat when she wants to ride. Can anyone give me some advise on how to prevent the 2 up seat from scratching the denim paint. I have read that felt works and also about a clear 3m pad or even a fender bib. But I am not sure if those folks are talking about using these things on denim paint.
Any help from any of you guys that have experience with this on denim paint would be greatly appreciated.

What about using some vinyl wrap as a protection barrier? The stuff that the kids are using to change the colour of their cars with?
I have some off cuts that are in a flat black which I've used on other projects. It's easy to stick on, just cut out a the shape, peel back the backer and apply using a hair dryer so it's gets tacky and smooth out any bubbles.
They also do a clear version that you use on the front end of a car to protect from stone chips.
It peels of easy too, just heat it up and off it comes!
Just a thought.

3m makes a paint protection film. Its not too noticeable ( don't know on denim) that works good. I plan to put some on mine when I get new fender unless the scratches I got now will buff out. I think you can even buy a 3m kit at wally world like I am talking about.
