Ultima 107 has uneven exhaust sound
I put a new Ultima 107 engine in my '94 Harley FXDWG. During the present break in period that Ultima requires, I have noticed that the front cylinder exhaust pipe has a louder exhaust sound than the rear pipe. Not a mechanical sound, but a louder exhaust sound, like that cylinder is hitting harder than the rear cylinder. The bike has straight exhaust pipes with baffles, so it is pretty loud. I has at present about 212 break in miles on this new engine. I installed it just as it came in the box and haven't changed anything. Is this louder exhaust sound from the front cylinder something to be concerned about or is it just the nature of the beast?

I am thinking of replacing my 95 fxstsb' 80" evo with a 107" Ultima. I am in the UK and it works out half the price of an S&S v111. Anyone got any info on it? I know a guy here who I ride with and he says his is strong as a horse and never had any problems. WHat sort of mileage can you get out of it?
