They are the best investment if your looking for a bike designed to tour but you really just want to keep it in the garage and show it off. I can't see doing any kinda road trips on those things, I think my big wheeled (21") Dyna bagger would out do one of those things on a two-three hour trip and they wouldn't have a chance on a 12+ hour day with it. They look good for about 5 seconds, which is about how long it takes to say to yourself "cool, by why?" then go to the next one and repeat.

I don't like them either but honestly they are growing on me. I think I appreciate the things they are doing to them but not so much the look. I don't think I'd ever own one. Never say never, lol.
But I can see some of those are in the $60-70k range and like most things its a competition now. When I go to the lake each year its bigger/louder boats to out-do the big guy from last year. One guy was pulling his boat with a semi truck! because a lifted F350 was too mainstream.

I'd like to eventually build a badass bagger for touring on with style, but the front wheel won't be any bigger than a simple 21". 26's and there's now a 36" front wheel. It's ridiculous. Hopefully it doesn't last long. It's mainly just for show bikes. Don't really see any that people put a LOT of miles on. trailer to an event then ride around maybe put 100 miles or so on it. I'll do that mileage in 2hrs on my FB.
