Default turn signal indicator?

I have a 2015 Road King that I installed the Kuryakin LED turn signal/brake light plug-in units and the question I have is the turn signals appear to be flashing just a little faster than when using the standard bulbs but the green turn signal flashing indicator on the instrument panel flashes about 1 1/2 times faster than what the turn signals are actually flashing, I didn't use any resistor/ module because I thought I heard the 14's and up didn't need them, so is my set-up good to go and just worrying about that green turn signal indicator burning out from being over-worked? Not worried about the rate of flashing since they actually flash the rate at which my car flashes, so I'm assuming there would be no issues with that regard. All input is welcome, Thanks.

I have the same problem and asked the same question on Sept 23rd. No answers from the "gurus" yet. So....I'm not holding my breath. I figure that as long as the self cancel function still works then all must be OK. I'm going to try a couple of 5W 100 ohm resistors in series with the leds while my bike is laid up for the winter and see if it helps any.

Good luck with your's!

Why don't you guys call Custom Dynamics, the expert in LEDs for these bikes. They are more than helpful!

Isn't there a "learning process" for LED's on the +14 models? FWIW, my 09 required a load balance module (different fm your bike, I know), but still required me to run the flashers for a few seconds to learn the new lighting resistance...you might have to do a similar process on your bike too...

Default just noticed this

Haven't tried this yet since I just now saw this reply on a different thread: "Turn on 4-way flashers for about 5 min. That will program the ECM to recognize the LED's and the fast flash will go away." I'll try this later tonight and reply with my results, by the way the credit goes to offthewall for this tech tip. I have been using them and haven't seen any thing indicating wrong currents or loads, just faster than normal blinking on the dash panel.

Just did the 4 way flasher for about 3 mins. and now the turn signals AND the indicator on the dash panel all flash at the same rate.

Iceman, what size resistor did you use for your rear turn signals? I bought LEDs for my rear turn signals but they hyperflash without a resistor. I can't seem to find anyone that will give me the correct wattage and ohms for the resistor. Thanks.
