Default 2014 Ultra Limited Fog lamps installation

I just ordered the new LED fog lamp kit for my Ultra Limited. The lights mount fine on the lower engine guard. The wiring instructions from HD are confusing. Has anyone installed these yet? If so, where does the wiring harness plug in to? I ordered the Acc switch kit to be installed along with the Fog lamp switch.

The instructions say to plug into #31 on the left side of bike. I assumed that would mean, under the side cover, but nothing in there matches the wiring harness with the kit, that is supposed to be plug and play.

I plan to look next under the fairing??

The instructions refer to the Service manual, which I don't have yet.

thanks.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. This is really a Touring bike query, so I suggest you post in the Touring section. There is even a Rushmore part, which may be better!

Default Acc wiring

Are you talking about the two accessory switches for the left or right dash panel? If you are then it is the same one I installed.
Behind your left side cover near the bottom are two grey connectors with rubber caps on them. Trust me, they are there. I have the same bike. One of them fits into the wiring harness that comes with your switches. The new harness is listed "acessy 2" and "acessy 3". I would pick one of them to go to the fog lights so they work off the dash. I know, DUH! If you need a pic let me know.

Default dash kit for 1014 limited

Yes it is part # 71400105. There are 3 leads coming from the new wiring harness that plugs in the left side cover but the switch does not control and another question is the part did not come with a new switch modual for the dash I used the orignal does that sound right ? I don't understand how the switch controls that wire.

Wink

T, if your bike has a canbus electrical system the switches don't work in the 'old fashioned' way! I'm sure the electrical service manual will explain it in detail, for those of us who suffer sleepless nights.......
