Alarm, Blinker Module replacement (need help)
2005 883C
Hi Everyone
Took a trip over the Cascade Mountains last week on my 2005 883C noticed my LED brake light not working.
I arrived in Spokane and took a look, by this time my blinkers and speedometer were no longer working either.
The bike still ran so I went the 300 miles home with the red alarm key lit up in the speedo.
I figured it was my Alarm/Blinker module and purchased a new module from HD without the alarm feature for $164.00.
Disconnected the battery and installed the new module put the bike back together.
With the new module the bike won’t start, blinkers, brake lights, speedo don’t work.
I put the old module back in and the bike started right up but same problem as before,
The service Tech at Harley says I have to bring my bike in and have them match my VIN with the new module, but I was hoping that there was a sequence or setup technique I could do at home to get this module to work.
Does anybody have experience with this situation that could offer a solution?

I think there is a similar posting here as well, I replaced a TSSM with aTSM and am hoping that I can get through this setup without going to HD

The speedometer is not controlled by the tsm, neither is your brake light. Have you checked all your fuses and rechecked them, and how did you check them?
Especially the assesories fuse, pull it up slightly put a volt meter on the leg other lead on a know ground, check both sides.
And don't throw any more money at the problem until......
