Default Battery, Engine Light, Volt Meter Problem

2013 FLHX, 25,000 miles. After experiencing engine, battery light coming on and volt meter going from 14.5 volts to 16, then 10, went to dealership, explained problem, had voltage regulator replaced two weeks ago. This past Saturday was riding in a fairly hot day. All was well until I got about twenty miles from the house. Volt meter went to 10 volts, engine and battery light came on AGAIN! After bike cooled down problem went away. Codes P0562, P0563 displayed in diagnostics. Called dealership, explained what was happening again. Said they would call technical support. Still waiting on phone call back. Could this be a bad voltage regulator AGAIN??!!!

Sure, the codes are high voltage, and low voltage. Could also be a loose ground cable on the regulator.

Default Battery light on, volt meter jumping

2012 Ultra Classic...8k miles. I've been having volt meter issues as well. 10 volts to 16 volts, then it levels out at 14.5 most times. Battery & engine light comes on, then shuts off after a while. Took off to sturgis not thinking about it & the meter pegged out at 16 & lights came on. Stupid me I guess. I managed to drive another 3 hrs to the nearest harley dealer. They were no help. I read the forums & they did have a voltage regulator available. I bought a new one & replaced it in the parking lot. Hopefully this takes care of it. Wish me luck...400 miles to go!
