Default Signal indicator -cannot see it in bright daylight FLSTC

1999 FLSTC Softail Heritage Classic.
The turn signal indicator lights on the tank are not bright enough to see in bright daylight.
1. Is there a brighter bulb made that fits?

2. If I mount an amber bulb on the outside of the chrome housing of both front signals I think I can do that so it could be seen by the rider. But that's an additional bulb in that circuit: would that require a different flasher unit?
