yea I think i''m gonna try that.......just sort of do a bench test while it's still in there....12v wire form Positive post to where green solenoid wire goes.....But I CAN move the gear drive coming out of the inner primary, so I would think that that would tell me that it's not hung up on anything.....

 

Is this with the start button pressed?

Don`t know what you mean by this, a continuity test is an ohm reading...

If you are using a test light, put it away, it will only mislead you on this issue.

 

removed starter, bench show shows its good......turns over just fine, Friday will reinstall and see what happens........

FOUND the electrical gremlin........had a bad ground......starts right up like it should.......THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP HERE!!!
