Default Sportster Lighting Issue

Hey all, so I have a 2007 Sportster 1200 Low and my left turn signal started to come on by itself and wouldn't cancel. Then it stopped working altogether. I checked the contact and switch and they appear to be fine. I can still activate the hazards, but I have no stand alone left hand turn signal. The right hand turn signal works fine and no other TSM controlled items seem to be malfunctioning. Any ideas? Anything would help, I'm waiting on my service manuals and wiring diagrams to come in but it's going to be a while...

I'd say you have a bad TSM.

I would look for a pinched wire somewhere or a bad signal switch. If the signal was coming on by itself that tells me it was getting power somehow. I would check continuity in the front and rear signals, the switch when depressed and finally if all these check out you can unplug the TSSM and jump the left signal pins to see if it works. Message me if you need more help.

Thanks for the advice, after looking through more threads on the same/related issue(s), I managed to narrow it down to the switch itself. Double checked at the switch connection under the tank and got a replacement. It's good to go after the quick repair!

Thanks but it turned out to be the much, much cheaper signal switch. Quick repair job and it's good to go! The dealer here (in the UK) wanted an arm and a leg over what a TSM would've cost back in the states anyway so I'm glad it ended up being something else!
