Default Getting a Wrench onto Ground Stud

2009 FLHTCU.
My battery negative terminals are sort of bad, and sometimes I have problems starting. Battery passed load test, chargning test.
My problem is trying to figure out how to get access to the engine case negative terminal/stud. It is buried in the core of the engine and I can't find the right angle to get a wrench, crow foot, or socket on this. Taking out the battery holder for top-down access seems not likely as it's bolted to the back of the frame, and the coil/ignition is also hard to remove from what I can see.

Help! Is there an easy or at least normal path to get access to that stud?
