Default Road King main wire harness

New guy here (sorta).... So,,, I'm working on a project bike. It basically a salvage Electra Glide that I'm converting to a road king. Did some research and have been getting conflicting information regarding the wiring harness. Some say I can use the harness thats on the bike and simply tuck the unused wires in the RK nacelle,, others say i'd be better off swapping out the harness for a RK harness..... The bike is a 2009, so my question is, If i swap out the harness, what years are compatible?? I currently see harnesses on ebay for 2005, 2006 and 2007.. but nothing for 2009.. Will those years fit my bike? any assistance would be appreciated..

PS...I'm converting it because I currently have a 2012 Electra Glide.
I have a manual, but the wiring diagrams is like reading Arabic.... lol

THANKS!

How’d this end up going for you? I’m starting on the same journey but with a ‘94 Electra

Ronnie's Harley-Davidson's Harley Davidson Street Bike Parts Finder (onlinemicrofiche.com)

Select year and model of bike and then lookup part number. Compare that with next year of interest and see if they match including any letter suffix.

You`re not going to get an answer, the guy hasn`t been on the forum since `16.

Why don`t you start a new thread, tell us exactly what you want to accomplish, maybe we can help.
