Red face Hands-free alarm not arming after new battery

2007 Ultra Classic (US model) with hands-free alarm system (no button on fob)

I recently installed a new battery and now my hands-free alarm system will not auto-arm itself, rendering it useless since there is no way to manually arm the system.

Does anyone know how to reprogram the alarm to auto-arm itself?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

So the new battery was defective? Everything works now with the second new battery?

No, the alarm was working fine. I replaced the bike battery and now the alarm will not arm itself when the bike is turned off.

Looking for any additional data.

What's not working? Bike starts without fob? Doesn't show red key led on speedometer? No chirp after shutdown? Or just the siren isn't working? Will the bike start without the fob? Will the turn signals flash if you turn on the ignition without the fob present?
