Default Cycle Electric 50 AMP upgrade

I installed the Cycle elctric 50 amp stator and voltage regulator. however the kit did not come with a new circuit breaker or fuse, and my limited knowledge is that the stock breaker is a 40 amp unit. Should I get a new fuse or circuit breaker or is that ok?
Thanks
Jeff

Leave it be. Circuit breakers protect wiring, and are matched to wiring.

I just legged my bike home with the voltage gauge at 12v , and I checked at the battery with a volt meter , and it is at 12v at 2k rpm, so I ordered the cycle electric 50amp kit with rotor, and regulator.
It should be here on Friday, and I will install it this weekend.
Did you use a rotor pulling tool or fake it?

Read your instructions that came with the stator, it will tell you that if you want to draw more current from the electrical system, you need to add a separate circuit with its own breaker.
