Yesterday, I tried to start the bike and got a few clicks then nothing. I pushed the bike back into the garage, and tried again, but this time nothing. No clicks, no lights, nothing. The bike started fine about a month ago. Don't know the age of the battery but at least 6-7 years old, but it's been on a battery tender. I'm thinking maybe I just need a new battery. Can you recommend a troubleshooting path?

 

Check to make sure the battery cables and ground connection are clean and snug. Pull the battery and take it to an auto supply store and have it load tested.
If it's as old as you think it's probably toast, so plan on a new one.

 

I replaced the battery and all is good now!
