Default Heated Hand Grips Help

Looking for some help on installing Heated Hand Grips 56047-08a on my 2009 Street Glide. Installed today and the grips are not getting warm.

Don't know if I wired it correctly into the fuse box.

Does this look correct?

TIA

No, it does not.

You need to insert the wire in the back of the fuse block, not the front. The fuse goes in the front.

When done should look something like this …

As a follow-up;

It is a pain-in-the-***, but it does have to be inserted from the rear of the fuse-block.

This is from memory, so take it for what it is worth (I’m old and forgetful.)

Almost every Harley instruction says to disconnect the battery (which I rarely follow) but in this case it is absolutely necessary. Not only disconnect, but you will find it easier if you remove the battery completely. You will be able to get your fingers in to help maneuver around.

Take out the torx screws that hold the fuse block in. You should be able to move it out a little (they don’t give you a lot of slack with the factory wiring) and you will notice a weather shield on the back. Believe it or not, you can maneuver it around enough to take that shield off, then you can plug that wire where it is supposed to go. Then you can curse a little while trying to put that weather shield back and re-secure the fuse-block.

Thank you. Last day off for the Holidays and will not have a chance to work on the bike for a little while. Thank you again!
