Hi all,

Have an '07 Sportster XL50 1200. Battery was going bad, had been jumping it last couple days. Replaced the battery today now have full power, but starter will not turn over, just clicks once.

All connections are good and lights don't dim at all. It's like the plunger engages but doesn't try to spin. Will do it each time I hit the switch. Switched relays around with no difference.

Any thoughts?

 

Found an additional hidden wire that got buried

 

are you talking about a ground wire for the battery? Or a different wire? I'm having trouble with starting mine, same as you described can hear a click from the starter then nothing after just clicks from the relay. I took all my battery cables out getting a new set made, will see if it works tomorrow.


End of battery to frame ground.
