Default Brake/Run/Turn Signal Kit Not working

My bike is a 2009 Ultra Classic, kit for this is #69461-06D. Plugging it in to my harness going to rear turn signals and tail-light, per instructions, results in NO CHANGE. I am supposed to get running lights and turn signals operating as brake lights as well, etc., .....nope. Why?

Thanks for any ideas you have about this........

If you have the Y harness from your tour pack lights, it needs to plug into the main harness then plug into your 69461-06D kit. The wiring from your tour pack then plugs into the kit. I just did this install on my 2007 EG classic.

You may be onto something there. I removed my pizza box a few months ago and installed detachable hardware. I haven't disconnected any wiring on the bike side just from the tour pack. All of the wiring is under the seat and still connected. I'll look into this further. I sure hope I don't have to have my trunk and wires attached to make this run/brake/turn kit work......?

Thanks.

I found the problem. I installed LED turn signal bulbs front and back several weeks ago. I removed the rear bulbs and replaced the original bulbs thinking the run/brake/turn kit would only be affected by the rear turn signals. Well, not so. After removing the front turn LED's and replacing with the original bulbs the run/brake/turn kit works just fine. I've searched for a stabilizer that might allow me to use LED's with this Harley kit. Custom Dynamics claims to have such an item which I might try someday......just another $75.00......gone with the wind.

I left the tail and brake light alone with the 1157. I only put led's in the rear turn signals and it works for me. The problem comes in if you install led's in the front also.

Glad you got it figured out
