Default Battery drains with key off

Battery drains with key off. Third time, So, got new bat. 4 dats later (key off run sw off) DEAD AGAIN. I installed a new battery, put a HD trick charger on it, won't charge!! DEAD DEAD DEAD. HD looked at it and said nothing wrong with the elect. sys. i still think it is the security system? HELP?

Pull out all of your fuses and put a ampmeter on each fuse space and see which one has a draw.

yeah, something has to be shorted, like browning says an ampmeter is going to be your friend

The OP has 1 post, and has not been active on the forum since he made that one post, doubtful he will answer your question.....another one and done.

Besides, why would you think the problem on his bike was the same as yours, he never told what model and year bike he was working on?

Tell us the model and year, and describe the problem.

Pull the main fuse as shown and check current draw. Then pull the other fuses to see which circuit is the culprit.

Hey vernal, you are posting troubleshooting info but we don`t have a clue as to what model and year bike the guy is working on.

It may not even have fuses...

True Dan. I just thought if someone saw the drawing and had a CB they would realize you could do the same thing by inserting the ammeter between the positive battery post and the positive cable.
