Default Horn doesn't work on '04 Road King

this is my second one (original + replacement). are the stock harley horns just problematic? any suggesitons? trying to keep the original horn on the bike without having to go with one of those oversided trumpeted air horns. thanks in advance.

The HD horn is next to worthless. I have purchased them over-the-counter that would not blow. There is a screw that you can "tinker" with, but a HD mechanic told me what they did was throw them against the wall as hard as they could and this would sometimes do the trick. I have fixed a few by squirting some WD-40 down in there and let it soak for a while. This worked for a buddy of mine last month.

He!!....you can shout louder than they blow anyway.

Default road king horn

may have to go aftermarket since HD horns are subpar. Like to keep my bike looking stock as possible; anyone know of any aftermarket that look like HD but are reliable?

For goodness sake....take the actual horn out of all that chrome and go find an auto horn that will bolt in there. The cost of the horn is in the chrome...the actual horn looks like the one on my Kubota tractor....it don't blow either.
