Default Left Blinker Stays On

I have an 01 Fatboy. I have made no electrical modifications to it. I was riding the other day when the left turn signal light came on and stays on. Here is what I have observed:
1- When I turn the key on the only the right side turn signal lights flash-the left side turn signal stay on steady.
2- The same goes with the flasher indicator on the gas tank; right flashes, left stays on steady.
3- I push both turn signal buttons to activate the four way flashers and only the right flashes on both indicators and on the gas tank. The left stays steady.
4- I push both turn signal buttons to deactivate the four ways and the right goes off; the left stays steady on.
5- I have tried turning off the indicator light by pushing the left turn signal button and it will not go off.

What I have done:
1- I have removed each turn signal bulb from the turn signal individually and both of them together. Either way the turn signal indicator on the gas tank stays on steady.
2- I have checked the wiring and have not found anything that indicates a short in the system.

Any suggestions?
Thanks-
Eagle 7

when you say you removed both together do you mean only the front or both front and rear. I have a suspicion you'll find your issue in one of the bulb sockets

also i believe under the seat on your fatboy is a plug where the rear wiring going through and under the fender mates with the harness. unplug that and see what happens. By chance do you have a run/turn/stop controller on this bike?
