Default Only making my wiring problems worse...connecting circuit breakers

So my original goal was finding out why my speedo and tach lights went off on my 1993 Sportster. One nigh when i went to hit my high beams and hit the turn signal (i cut my signals off) and im guessing it grounded out somewhere. I noticed that after the dash lights went out they would only come on when i pressed my hand brake and my foot brake at the same time.
I ended up taking the seat off, traced the wires, and cleaned the circuit breakers to to see if that cleared up the problem. When i got back to attaching the wires i drew a blank on the wiring so i referenced a diagram, which only confused me more because it was set up different then what i remembered.
My current setup is:
1. green and blue on a circuit breaker
2. two reds and a black on a breaker
3. grey and a white on a breaker
4. two oranges and an open breaker with a metal strip connected with the grey and white breaker

Heres the diagram and it shows the white wire connecting with all off the circuit breakers when original there was only this single bar. Its kind of confusing me. So end all the speedo and tach lights are still down and now the taillight and brake light are down furthering the original problem.
Any suggestions?

From the diagram, I would suggest following the orange lines & breaker as they likely are common to your problems.
