How to: 2011 RK spot auxiliary lights & high beams
I searched, and could not find anything, so here goes..
if you turn the handlebars to the clutch side, there is an orange wire laying there, on the frame neck, by the wire bundle. with tape & a protective cover over it, it is hot, and provided power by a 15a fuse labeled "ACCESSORY" in the fuse box.
it comes from the headlight harness,
i took the headlight out, but you MIGHT could do all this from that side.
there is a white plug, 3 wires going in, and 2 going up to the switch.
the yellow wire on the 3 wire side is "switched hot" by the High Beams.
you want to cut the yellow wire, and power it off the orange/white always hot lead.
here are all the wires, after the headlight was removed, and the wires pulled out the back side.
heres the finished wire job, tape it up:
