Turn signal issues.. pulling out my hair... Whats left of it:)
Hey all, Just wondering if some of you may have suggestions or solution to my problem.. I'm replacing the cheap plastic china LED turn signals on my bike that the previous owner had put on with standard bulbs. Tthe old rear turn signals were a 2 wire setup, grounded into the wiring harness, my new lights are a single wire unit grounded to frame.. (i have checked the grounds and they are good). the front turn signals are leds that are built into the mirror arms. When i hook up the rear signals, and hit one of the signal buttons, both front signals light together.. no lights in back. Any idea's?

goofy turn signals
The problem is because you have LED bulbs in the front turn signals. They don't take much power to turn them on. This is caused by bleed over in your system. Regular incandescent bulbs take more power than what bleeds over and so they won't come on. You can go back to regular bulbs or put some diodes in your system, they work like a switch to keep the power from creeping thru. I think they take like a 3 amp diode, not sure ask at radio shack or someplace where they would know. Hope this makes some sense and helps a bit.

All the bulbs are on the same circuit, in parallel, not series...
The power does not go through the light emitting diodes, and then on to the incandescent...
The stuff you are saying makes no sense at all.
