Default 09 alarm doesn't arm properley with LED's & stablizer

So after a week of trying to get the alarm on my 09 (smart security) to arm without cycling through 3-4 times I made a call to Street Magic to see if they had any suggestions. They make the stabilizer for the blinker LED's. Evan was very helpful and knew exactly what was wrong. It seems that some 09 models require 2 wires to be switched on both sides of the connectors. The orange & blue wires are the ones only if the blue is next to the brown & the orange is next to the red. The correct wiring should have the blue next to the red & orange next to the brown. I did the switch tonight & bingo, it all works perfectly with the alarm. It is not a problem on all 09's from what I was told. I hope this helps anyone going to LED's & the Street Magic Stabilizer on a newer bike with a no button fob..

Also if you're using the Badlands unit they acknowledged the same thing and one of the wires on their unit has to be unplugged & connected to the battery or an always on lead from the fusebox.

Here's the culprit:

I have an 08 and added the badlands illuminator. I was directed by Keith at Ride time Tech to connect one of the badlands wires to the hot lead on the siren. It works like a charm. Glad to see you got yours working.
