I really like the look of the samson rip saws and short slashers but have never heard either one. I'm looking for a deep sound. Does anyone have samson pipes, if so how's the quality and sound?

Well, a friend of mine has the rip saws on her S&S Indian. They are L O U D. You really don't want to be behind her bike when she lights it up either...they really kick up the dust and debris. On her bike they are probably the loudest off-the-shelf pipes I've heard yet. Not too deep either. Never heard the slashers.
They are very LOUD! I don't think they have a very deep tone either and they have a tinny cheap sound IMO. No baffles on those pipes... Have heard complaints in the past about coloring and quality with chrome.
I have the samson street sweepers. They are extremely loud. I have the 95 in kit and when i get on it the people behind me have nothing but complaints. They have a deep rumble. My dad has the big radius and at idle his is louder but riding the samsons drown out everything else.

I just put a set of big gun 2's on my deluxe. I had them on my previous bike. They sound good but they started to blue the day I got them. Harley double checked the mixture as did a local bike shop and all was good. The chrome job was not good. I called Samson and they said it was the fuel mixture and blew me off. I bought some Hard Krome double d's with a one year warranty against bluing. Samson lost me as a customer forever. It cost me ove 500.00 to learn that but I would never put Samson on any bike I own or recommend it to anyone. By the way, the double d's sound deeper and have a better exhaust note. Anyone wanna buy some Big Guns?
I've got the long slashers and I love them. I think they sound awesome. On mine, I have a good deep rumble.
Mine do have baffles and even with them in they are loud and proud!
